The Society considers that its aims would be better achieved if its membership includes representatives from organisations within the aerospace community. Corporate membership fees are currently set at A$500 pa. Corporate membership has the following direct benefits:
  • One corporate non-voting representative, where the representative does not need to meet any membership requirements.
  • Provision of Corporate Membership details on appropriate Society documentation, ie. Newsletters and Symposium Documentation.
  • a company banner displayed at the Symposium, identifying the Corporate Member.
  • the company logo on the FTSA website, identifying the organisation as a FTSA Corporate Member.
  • a link on the FTSA website to the company's homepage.

Information and Application

Please see the Society's Home Page and explore the website for more information about the FTSA and its operations. The Society welcomes applications to join. Membership types and conditions are laid out in the Membership section of the Constitution. The membership year runs from 1 November to 30 October, to coincide with the Society's financial year.

Application for Member or Associate Member

Applications for member or associate member can be submitted online by clicking on the "Application Form" link below. Applicants will need to provide a personal resume in MS Word or PDF format and the names and email addresses of two professional referees who are familiar with their flight test activities. Member or Associate Member fees are currently set at A$50 pa.

Application for Student Member

Student applicants are advised that they need to be enrolled at an Australian University in a full time engineering, science, applied science or technology degree related to an aeronautical field and have completed their first year of studies. Student applicants are requested to make initial contact via the Contact Us form, explaining the envisaged nature of their relationship with the Society, including alignment with their career aspirations. Student Member fees are currently set at A$25 pa.

Membership Benefits

In addition to the substantial benefits of being able to access the professional network facilitated by the Society, membership also provides the opportunity to attend symposia and other activities at substantially discounted fees and access to the information and resources of the secure members-only section of the FTSA website.

Consideration of Applications

The Committee of the Society will consider new membership applications at its meetings, held approximately every six weeks. As soon as practicable thereafter, a Committee member will advise the outcomes to applicants.
